Oakland CA, native, Genra has been around music for as long as he can remember. Coming up, his father would always play artists like Stevie Wonder & BeBe & CeCe Winans in the house. During his sophomore year of high school a friend gave him a tape with jazzy instrumentals from The Roots, and other similar artists, inspiring a style of music he's still passionate about making today.
